The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funds a wide array of research and initiatives to help address some of America’s most pressing health challenges.

In addition to opportunities presented through targeted grant programs and funding partnerships, we continually accept brief proposals for funding of new and creative approaches to building a Culture of Health.

Health x Design: Building Health into Everyday Life—The focus of this design challenge is to imagine how, in the near future, we might use technology to make health an integral part of our daily routines. A panel of judges will choose two winning solutions: one design that targets specific healthy behaviors and one design that envisions broad, systemic change. Submit your design by 11:59 PM ET on August 31, 2019.

Call for Papers: Health Affairs Special Issues on Culture of HealthHealth Affairs seeks new research examining what health systems, hospital groups, public health departments, and others do to address the broader health and social needs of their communities (e.g., food, housing, transportation, etc.). Invited articles will be featured in their February 2020 issue. Submit your paper by 11:59 PM ET on September 30, 2019.
