Please note: Based on current guidance of the CDC and public health agencies, all Robert Wood Johnson Foundation facilities are open for limited use by employees. Assistant Vice President for Strategic Communications 

The assistant vice president (AVP) for strategic communications will help to oversee a well-functioning Communications department of 40-plus staff members—along with supporting the oversight of RWJF’s communications consultants who assist grantees and staff in developing and executing communications strategies. In this cross-functional and collaborative environment, the AVP will serve as crucial connective tissue, allowing RWJF Communications to realize maximum impact.

The Foundation seeks a media relations manager, who will be responsible for developing and managing key aspects of the media relations effort, which focuses on elevating research, data, and thought leadership of the Foundation.

Executive Unit

Executive Assistant to the President and CEO 

Reporting to the president and CEO, the executive assistant (EA) will perform a wide range of high-level, confidential administrative support. The EA will serve as a key point of contact and liaison for daily operational and administrative responsibilities, maintaining a close and collaborative relationship with the president and CEO and the special assistant to the president.

Chief Investment Officer

The Foundations seeks a chief investment officer to oversee all aspects of management of the endowment portfolio and the RWJF Investment team. The chief investment officer is responsible for the overall investment policy, asset allocation, manager selection, and portfolio risk.

Managing Director, Transforming Health and Healthcare Systems 

The Foundation seeks a managing director who will provide overall leadership to the development and implementation of program strategy for the Transforming Health and Healthcare Systems theme. The theme works to transform the policies, practices, and norms in health and healthcare systems so that these systems truly support health, healing, and thriving for people most affected by racism, inequity, discrimination, and historic trauma.

Program Associate

The Foundation seeks an associate to facilitate and support cross-Foundation projects by assisting in the effective facilitation of the unit, conducting project and related research; developing documents and presentations; working with experts, consultants, grantees, and applicants to develop strategies and action plans to advance the unit’s priorities; and helping design, implement, and track new initiatives; evaluate proposals; and monitor programs and grants, if needed.
