Hope Woodhead, who joined the Foundation in 1996, serves as the associate vice president, Communications. Previously, as senior communications director, she was responsible for managing the strategy of RWJF.org, marketing and analytics, and creative services. Hope is a member of the management team within RWJF’s Communications department and assists with internal communications. Drawing on her years of experience in strategic communications and visual branding, she is committed to “telling the RWJF story and conveying its unique mission to the public.” To accomplish this goal, she oversees a team of talented staff and partners that ensures that the Foundation provides what she calls “communications with a human touch.”
In her time at the Foundation, Hope has produced many of the Foundation’s print-based products, including the Annual Report, capabilities documents, Funding Opportunities, and policy-related issue briefs. She has led several website redesigns, and recently reorganized and expanded the scope of the digital strategy group with a focus on enhancing the RWJF brand through enterprise communications and implementing more robust marketing and analytics initiatives. Hope continues to produce all of the Foundation’s documentary films that feature our grantees.
Hope has received numerous awards for her work, including honors from Blackbook AR100, the International ARC awards, MarCom Creative Awards, and the Council of Foundation’s Wilmer Shields Rich Awards.
Prior to joining the Foundation, she managed the sales, marketing, and new product development units for Block Petrella Weisbord, a management consulting firm.
Hope received a BA in business administration from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.
