Katie Sweeney joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in 2018. Passionate about increasing accessibility to health and healthcare, Katie supports the Program department by managing and coordinating program-related projects and topics.
Before joining the Foundation, Katie held a multifaceted position with a Trenton, New Jersey, roofing corporation, supporting both office and warehouse services.
Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rowan University. She also holds a Public Health Certificate from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). Her epidemiological research at TCNJ focused on racial disparities among Black mothers in New Jersey. Her professional interests are maternal health, social determinants of health, and mental health.
A New Jersey native, Katie presently lives in Yardley, Pennsylvania, with her husband. In her leisure time, she enjoys the beach, crafting, spending time with her pets, and exploring new restaurants.
