Nicole Konchalski joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in 2015. As the special assistant to the president, she works closely with the president and CEO, providing high level support as well as project management and coordination to advance the priorities of the Office of the President and CEO. With a passionate commitment to health equity, she supports the Foundation’s work in what she describes as “being bold and creating change to help everyone in America lead a healthier life.”
Nicole’s career with the Foundation began as a program administrative and then executive assistant, supporting leaders across programmatic areas. Most recently, she served as a program associate. In this role, Nicole collaborated with program staff and leadership; supported Program unit activities; assisted in designing and implementing new Program unit initiatives; and developed strategies and action plans to advance the unit’s priorities. Before joining the Foundation, she held an executive assistant and office manager position with a landscaping firm in Central New Jersey. She also spent time as a sales leader and customer service representative with Best Buy.
Nicole earned an MA in psychology from Rutgers University, Camden, where her thesis explored the relationship between various learning and cognitive processes. She holds a BA in psychology from Rutgers University, Newark. Born in Queens, N.Y., she presently resides in Jackson, N.J., with her husband and their rescue dog, Boomer. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, concerts, the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
