    Jing Wang, PhD, MPH, RN, FAAN was elected to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Board of Trustees in April 2022, effective July 2022.

    Jing is an interdisciplinary trained researcher, educator, and policy and executive leader in nursing and higher education, is dean of the College of Nursing at Florida State University. She is a nationally recognized leader on health equity and digital health, which uses computing platforms, connected devices, software, and sensors for healthcare and related uses. She was an RWJF Nurse Faculty Scholar in 2013.

    Jing is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, president of the Asian American/Pacific Islander Nurses Association, member of the board of directors of the National Coalition of Ethnic Minority Nurses Association, and member of the Board of Trustees of HCA Florida Capitol Hospital. She also is a member of the National Institute of Nursing Research Council Working Group on Diversity; a member of the AARP/RWJF Future of Nursing Campaign for Action’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Steering Committee; and a National Academy of Medicine Emerging Leader in Health and Medicine.

    On the health policy front, as a Health and Aging Policy Fellow and American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow, Jing worked as a senior scientific advisor to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and as a senior policy advisor at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. 

    Jing earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, Multidisciplinary Master in Public Health, and Graduate Certificate in Clinical and Translational Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
