Patti Higgins (she/her) joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in 2004. As interim deputy director, Grants Management, she provides oversight and guidance to the grants management operations department, working closely with the department’s director. With her strong commitment to the mission of the Foundation, as well as her knowledge of the Foundation’s funding priorities, she responds to most inquiries that come in from the public.
Patti began her RWJF career as a program administrative assistant. She worked as a program assistant and senior administrative coordinator before assuming her current position. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked as an office manager, teacher, and sales coordinator.
Patti has completed graduate coursework in public health, and is certified in project management and nonprofit management. She holds a BS in secondary education from Seton Hall University, with concentrations in English and reading—which explains her passion for language and editing. Though a lifelong New Jersey resident—she currently lives in East Windsor with her husband, Mark—she also spends significant time in Vermont, where she says her heart lives. In her spare time, she enjoys live music, driving, being creative, reading, and hanging out with friends and family.
