Class description: Using hand weights and body weight-based exercises, this class is designed to tone the body from head to toe.
Hybrid Yoga with Del (40 minutes)
Tuesdays, 12:20 to 1:00 pm ET
Class description: Vinyasa yoga style, flowing from one pose to the next. A mat is required, and blocks and straps are optional. We work on stretching, balance, and strength.
Barre with Sharon (45 minutes)
Tuesdays from 5:00 to 5:45 pm ET
Class description: Barre can be done with or without shoes. The class is a mixture of strength moves and dance moves. Since most people don’t have a weighted bar and/or a bar attached to their wall, we may improvise using a chair or wall and hand weights. Two or three versions of each exercise are taught to accommodate different fitness levels.
Mindful Meditation with Mecquel (30 minutes)
Wednesdays from 12:00 to 12:30 pm ET
Class description: Research continues to demonstrate the benefits of mindfulness and meditation across fields. Simple tools can be incorporated into daily life for increased health, productivity, creativity, life satisfaction, and learning. This class implements current research and mindfulness applications that can enhance wellbeing.
Mindful Movement with Mecquel (30 minutes)
Thursday from 12:00 to 12:30 pm ET
Class description: This class incorporates mindful awareness practice into sequences of movement to mobilize joints and tissues, energize the body and mind, and balance the effects of a modern workday. Designed to be accessible to all bodies and experience levels, it provides the perfect midday reset.
Mat Pilates with Sharon (45 minutes)
Thursdays from 5:00 to 5:45 pm ET
Class description: Classical style mat Pilates. Only equipment needed is a mat, a Pilates ball, (or you can use a small pillow), and sometimes we use light hand weights. Two or three options are taught for each exercise to accommodate most skill levels.
Barre with Laurie (30 minutes)
Fridays from 12:30 to 1:00 pm ET
Class description: This full body workout combines the principles of Pilates, Yoga, and Ballet to increase strength, tone and cardiovascular endurance. Light weights, a mat or folded towel/blanket, and a sturdy high back chair are used in this class.
