The U.S. Department of Agriculture awarded nearly $2 million in funding to six states and territories to help ensure that children eligible to receive support under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) remain in the program to age five. The grants will be distributed to WIC agencies in Georgia, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina, and Puerto Rico.
