Foundation Services

Meeting, Event, and Administrative Assistant

The meeting, event and administrative assistant will provide daily customer service coordination and support for meeting and event-related convening activities and operations at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. As a member of a service focused team of professionals, the meeting, event and administrative assistant will provide administrative/clerical support to unit-related activities, operations and special projects as assigned.

Program Portfolios

Program Associate

The program associate is a professional staff member who will work with members of a portfolio catalyzing demand for health places and practices, to facilitate and support the work of the portfolio by: assisting in the effective facilitation of the portfolio members, conducting project and related research, working with key experts, grantees and applicants to develop strategies and action plans to fulfill objectives, and assisting in designing and implementing new initiatives, evaluating proposals, and monitoring programs and grants. As with staff at all levels of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, program associates are expected to demonstrate a passionate commitment to our initiative to build a Culture of Health for all Americans, our mission of improving health and health care for all Americans, and to the guiding principles and promise that undergird that mission.

Research-Evaluation-Learning

Senior Learning Officer

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation seeks an innovative, curious thinker and dynamic leader to serve as key architect for the Foundation’s learning strategy. The senior learning officer will drive the design, implementation, and stewardship of a comprehensive and integrated approach to learning and continuous improvement at the Foundation. S/he will curate a broad set of platforms and opportunities to ensure that foundation staff, grantees, and the broader RWJF community are using new and existing information dynamically to make better decisions, respectfully challenge and vet each other’s ideas, and take calculated risks in the pursuit of greater impact and with the ultimate goal of building a Culture of Health in the United States.

Targeted Teams

Senior Program Officer

The senior program officer will specifically lead efforts to achieve the highest possible value from our nation’s investments in improving health and health care. S/he will work across the Foundation and field to promote ideas and investments and develop and expand partnerships that have the greatest impact on the field of public health and health and care systems across the United States. The senior program officer will embody the energy and forward momentum necessary to bridge the gaps between key stakeholders and act as translator, convener, and standard-bearer for RWJF’s mission. Ideally, s/he will bring a depth and breadth of experience in direct management or delivery of local or state public health services, including participating in agency accreditation and quality improvement activities.

summer Internships

Multiple Internship Opportunities

The RWJF summer internship program provides an opportunity for students in various disciplines to learn about health and health care issues facing our society and about how a career in philanthropy can make a difference. Our internships provide meaningful, hands-on work experience in a variety of functional areas, and supplement that experience with educational orientations to gain insight in our work.

The paid internship program in our Princeton, N.J., office runs for 10 weeks starting in early June.
