RWJF President and CEO Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, M.D., M.B.A., discusses strategies to build a culture of wellness in a June 30th interview with the Big Think, for a series about the future of health care co-produced by the website and MSNBC.
She notes that businesses, schools and policymakers all have a role to play in helping to create environments that encourage people to make healthful choices every day.
What keeps us healthy, she notes, is not necessarily what happens in a doctor’s office, but rather the things that “nudge us to get more exercise, to eat healthier and to quit smoking or not start smoking in the first place."
