Connecting the Uninsured to Coverage

RWJF designed Covering Kids & Families to be the nation's largest initiative dedicated to reducing the number of uninsured children and adults through enrollment in Medicaid or the State Children's Health Insurance Program SCHIP.

Public programs like SCHIP and Medicaid provide coverage to millions of children, keeping our nation's children healthy and better prepared to learn in school and succeed in life.

Covering Kids & Families has benefited from the work of coalitions in 50 states and the District of Columbia with members representing 5,500 organizations, all committed to helping uninsured children get the health coverage they need.
