Half of Enrollees in Community Fitness Pilot Program See Weight, Blood Pressure Drop

From 2003 to 2004, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) created and tested a draft of the Healthy School Report Card, a tool to help schools and communities make decisions that might improve the health and well-being of their students.

Key Results

  • The report card is designed, first, to provide schools and their communities with tangible criteria for assessing factors linked to student health status and behavioral barriers to academic achievement; and then to help schools and their communities make programmatic decisions that support the health and well-being of all students and staff. It is described on the ASCD website. It can be purchased at the online store.
