Half of Enrollees in Community Fitness Pilot Program See Weight, Blood Pressure Drop
From 2003 to 2004, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) created and tested a draft of the Healthy School Report Card, a tool to help schools and communities make decisions that might improve the health and well-being of their students.
Key Results
The report card is designed, first, to provide schools and their communities with tangible criteria for assessing factors linked to student health status and behavioral barriers to academic achievement; and then to help schools and their communities make programmatic decisions that support the health and well-being of all students and staff. It is described on the ASCD website. It can be purchased at the online store.
