Examination of Family Caregivers' Roles Leads to Book Outlining New Policy Recommendations
Staff from the United Hospital Fund of New York brought together a working group of researchers, clinicians, policy-makers and family caregiver advocates to produce an analysis leading to the development of more accurate measures of the work performed by family caregivers.
Key Results
Produced the book Family Caregivers on the Job: Moving Beyond ADLs and IADLs, which includes the five papers commissioned under the first grant, a sixth paper written as a concluding chapter for the book, and the synthesis paper based on the results of the working group meetings.
Published the synthesis paper, "Family Caregivers on the Job: Moving Beyond ADLs and IADLs," in the peer-reviewed journal Generations: Journal of the American Society on Aging.
