Journal Project Fosters Collaboration Among Health Policy Researchers

In October 2001, the Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law (JHPPL) produced a special issue on competition and regulation in health care.

Key Results

  • Scholars from the Investigator Awards in Health Policy Research, an RWJF program, organized the special October 2001 issue of the Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law.

Journal staff also provided intensive manuscript assistance to young scholars funded by another RWJF program, Scholars in Health Policy Research. The project was an experimental effort by RWJF to integrate and disseminate the health policy research generated by scholars in the two programs.
  • In 2003, Duke University Press subsequently republished the special issue, with the addition of a preface by Victor Fuchs, as an edited book, Uncertain Times: Kenneth Arrow and the Changing Economics of Health Care.
