Happy Thanksgiving: Gratitude is Good For Your Health

Giving thanks may be the healthiest part of the Thanksgiving tradition, according to a growing body of research on the subject. A New York Times article this week offers a round-up of studies on the physical, emotional and social health benefits of simply being grateful. Thankfulness has been linked over the course of various studies to fewer self-reported health problems, less anxiety and depression, better sleep and better social relationships.
The article offers some concrete tips for those who find giving thanks doesn't come as easy—start small, be wary of confusing gratitude with indebtedness and remember: it could always be worse.
