Howard Yu joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s portfolio management team in 2015 as an investment analyst. He is responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining the team’s risk management system, as well as assisting with other portfolio-level activities such as asset allocation.
Previously, Yu served as an asset allocation associate with AllianceBernstein’s multi-asset solutions group in New York. In this role, he developed macroeconomic factor models and options and variance swap strategies. He also served internships with Archelon Deutschland GmbH, a market maker and proprietary trading firm based in Frankfurt, Germany.
Yu earned a BS in Operations Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University.
A native of Hong Kong, Yu currently resides in Jersey City, N.J. In his spare time he enjoys travel, reading, tennis, and pool.
