Philip Hagerty directs the Web Support Center, which assists more than 90 internally and externally managed RWJF national programs with their websites. In this role, he plans and implements websites and assists national programs with managing, budgeting and setting guidelines for their Web presence. In addition to adding features or functions to existing websites, he also captures and archives all Web information when a national program ends. “My work with national programs,” says Hagerty “tells the health care stories that contribute to the Foundation’s goal of improving health and health care for all Americans.”
Hagerty, who joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 2002, brings to his current position more than 12 years of leadership experience with pharmaceutical, Internet and technology companies, including America Online, AltaVista, McDonald’s Corp., U.S. News and World Report and Aetna U.S. Healthcare’s award winning website InteliHeath.com. He has designed large-scale systems to manage the commerce and content of nationwide syndication affiliates, implemented multiphased marketing strategies, established “ground floor” project management offices, and implemented sales force automation.
Hagerty holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from Drexel University. He is an active member of RWJF Toastmasters, the Foundation’s chapter of the international nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills.
Hagerty has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and is the past president of Transfiguration Parish Council in Collingswood, N.J. Active in the green recycling movement; he has created a “very energy efficient house” and inspired others to follow his example.
A Pennsylvania native, Hagerty now resides in Woodbury, N.J. He has two children.
