Since joining the Foundation in September 1986, Nancy Barrand, M.P.A., has been involved in the development and management of programs focusing on public and private coverage, health policy research, long term care, housing, and rural issues. Prior to coming to RWJF, she worked as legislative staff in the U.S. Senate and in the California State Assembly.

Barrand received an M.P.A. from Harvard University and completed her undergraduate work at the University of California at Santa Cruz.
