Testing the Prometheus payment model by using evidence-informed case rates to reimburse providers, meet each patient's needs and coordinate care

Summary:

The PROMETHEUS Payment (R) approach seeks to promote and reward high-quality, efficient, patient-centered health care by using a novel method to pay hospitals and physicians and other providers. The Foundation is helping to move the PROMETHEUS Payment (R) approach from concept to reality by supporting PROMETHEUS Payment (R), Inc.--a tax-exempt entity--to expand and test its model in pilot communities.
