AcademyHealth’s Public Health Systems Research (PHSR) Interest Group Annual Meeting is right around the corner. From June 30 to July 1, researchers, practitioners, and analysts will gather at the Hilton Chicago to discuss new public health research and advance their skills in methods and data use. Now in its eighth year, the PHSR Annual Meeting continues to be a premier forum for public health systems research.
This year’s scientific presentations, selected through a rigorous peer-review process, address topics including health department accreditation, quality improvement and performance, and disaster preparedness. Each panel will be followed by an opportunity for discussions and questions.
The meeting will also feature a special methods workshop, which will provide insight on strengths and limitations of existing data sources, methodological challenges including sample size issues, and will discuss the field’s efforts to do comparative analysis of public health systems.
