An investigator at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Roger A. Rosenblatt, M.D., M.P.H., studied the feasibility and necessity of a new research project on the differences and similarities in the care provided by generalist and specialist physicians.
This project was part of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's (RWJF) national program Generalist Provider Research Initiative.
Key Findings
In a report published in 1994, the investigator noted the following:
He suggested that several methodological approaches could yield timely, policy-relevant data:
Funding
RWJF supported the research from February 1994 to March 1994 with $7,000 in funding.
There are currently no additional readings for this publication.
Grant Results Reports
RWJF produces Grant Results reports on its funded initiatives. External writers and editors read the entire grant to prepare each report, which is then reviewed by RWJF staff and by the director of the initiative. Any reviewer in the chain may ask for changes in the report to improve clarity or accuracy.
