The Initiative will hold the Forum on the Future of Nursing: Community Health, Public Health, Primary Care, and Long-Term Care on December 3, 2009, at the Community College of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA. Registration for the meeting is now open.
The meeting will focus on nursing across community health, public health, primary care, and long-term-care settings and will include panels and discussion on technology and patient quality and safety. A draft agenda for the meeting is available below.

Invitation to Submit Testimony
The Initiative’s committee is inviting individuals and organizations to help form the forum’s discussion and the committee’s deliberations by submitting written testimony—which might include innovations/models and barriers/opportunities—in the following areas: community health, public health, primary care, and long term care.
You may submit testimony in any or all of the topic areas via the Web or e-mail. All testimony received prior to Monday, November 23, will be considered in the development of the forum discussion.
Future Forums
In the coming months, there will be an opportunity to submit testimony for the upcoming forum on nursing education, which will be held in Houston, Texas, on February 22, 2010. Also, the committee is still accepting testimony related to the October 19 forum on acute care nursing. Submit your testimony online.
