Forward Promise
Empowering boys and young men of color to heal, grow, and thrive.
Forward Promise is a national program working in collaboration with numerous organizations to build and strengthen the supportive networks that raise and empower boys and young men of color (BYMOC) to heal, grow and thrive.
Many BYMOC navigate dehumanization, toxic stress, and racialized trauma in the spaces that are supposed to nurture and protect them. These challenges make it hard for young men of color to lead healthy and whole lives. Forward Promise uses culturally relevant, healing-centered approaches to improve health outcomes for BYMOC (and their communities) by helping them to disrupt the cycles of emotional and physical violence that oppress them where they live, learn, work, and play.
