Using Biomonitoring and Air Monitoring in a Study at Tulare County to Implement a New California Public Health Law on Exposure to Environmental Toxicants

Knowledge Asset: Tulare Count, Calif., residents monitored the air at homes situated near orange groves where the pesticide chlorpyrifos had been used. In addition, urine samples from 34 participants were analyzed for chlorpyrifos metabolite.

Rural Pennsylvania Geisinger Clinic Tracks Nutrition Problems Among the Elderly

Geisinger Clinic, a nonprofit physician group practice serving northeastern and central Pennsylvania, screened more than 5,000 of its elderly, mostly rural enrollees to identify those at high risk for nutritional deficiency.
