A prototype handheld electronic pain/treatment/activity device (EPTAD) allows patients to record noncancer chronic pain symptoms every two to four hours. Providers can use the device to track activity levels and treatment. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funded the prototype through Project HealthDesign.
