This article examines the physical and social sleep environment of socioeconomically disadvantaged postpartum women at two, four, and eight weeks postpartum. Perceived awakenings, select sleep hygiene practices, bed sharing, and reasons for sleep disruption were explored.

A study of forms of social capital in neighborhoods and health focuses on female caregivers. Results indicated that various forms of social capital were associated with higher and lower levels of health. Furthermore, neighborhood attachment played a moderating role in health.
