This article presents analysis of basic disabilities among older adults. The study considered data from the American Community Survey (ACS) 2000-2005. The findings indicate that basic disabilities increased from 2000-20005, reversing a trend that began in the 80s.

The Changing Relationship of Obesity and Disability, 1988-2004

Researchers investigated how the relationship between obesity and disability might have changed over time. Data analyzed were from 9,928 adults at least 60 years of age who participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys during 1988-1994 and 1999-2004.
