Ten hospitals throughout the country joined a collaborative learning network, developed strategies to improve the quality and accessibility of their language services, and tested them using five standardized performance improvement measures.

This article reports the results from a randomized controlled trial to help African Americans and Latinos with type 2 diabetes improve diabetes self-management. These populations are more likely to have poorly controlled glycemic levels than non-Latino Whites.
