Curriculum Change at Nebraska Emphasized Clinical Experience in Rural Settings

The University of Nebraska College of Medicine drafted and approved a new, integrated curriculum for medical students that the school implemented in the fall of 1992.

To develop and implement a six-week academic enrichment program for undergraduates from minority groups, rural areas, and economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine or dentistry.

North Dakota Offers Distance Learning for Nurses Spread Across the Rural State

North Dakota L.I.N.C. enrolled a total of 101 students in the program, who were spread across 47,000 square miles.
