National Program
To attract the best and the brightest high school students to become the public health leaders of the future.
Feature/Topic
Our programs support the nursing profession, and focus on improving the quality of care.
Story
An interest in health care inequities led Helen Levy, PhD, an alumna of the RWJF Scholars in Health Policy Research program, to study insurance coverage, health literacy, and health care decision making among low-income and elderly individuals.
We prepare health professionals for leadership, support scholars in their research, and promote diversity in order to build a skilled health care workforce ready to address the health, cost and quality challenges facing the nation.
Grantee
RWJF established the Future of Public Health Nursing initiative to identify and implement strategies to increase the skills and ability of public health nurses to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing health and health care environment.
