Understanding Inequities in Health Care and Policies

Story

An interest in health care inequities led Helen Levy, PhD, an alumna of the RWJF Scholars in Health Policy Research program, to study insurance coverage, health literacy, and health care decision making among low-income and elderly individuals.

Human Capital

We prepare health professionals for leadership, support scholars in their research, and promote diversity in order to build a skilled health care workforce ready to address the health, cost and quality challenges facing the nation.

Public Health Nursing

Grantee

RWJF established the Future of Public Health Nursing initiative to identify and implement strategies to increase the skills and ability of public health nurses to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing health and health care environment.
