Wraparound Program Saves Illinois Money and Provides Better Mental Health Services for Youth

Between January 1996 and June 1997, the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Springfield, Ill. carried out a project to support the development of a managed care system of services for foster care children-all of whom are wards of the state-who needed behavioral health services.

Expanded Mental Health Center in D.C. Neighborhood Coordinates Family Services

Between May 1994 and June 2003, staff at the Washington-based Center for Mental Health conducted a two-phase project to: expand their outpatient services and develop a system for coordinating, tracking and monitoring mental health and social services.
