The US Schweitzer Fellows Programs, which enable medical, nursing, public health and social work students to volunteer their services in impoverished communities, increased the number of student participants and added three volunteer sites.

Dental Health Aides for Alaska Natives Observed by Dental Leaders and Professionals

July 29, 2008 | Program Result

The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium led two outreach trips of local and national dental leaders and professionals to educate them about the use of dental health aide therapists to provide dental care to rural Alaska residents.
