HealthCare.gov is the official resource for health insurance marketplaces. Explore and compare health plans, get answers to questions, and learn more about financial help in paying for premiums or co-pays.
Through health insurance marketplaces, individuals and families can find a health plan that fits their needs and budget.
Business owners can offer coverage to their employees through the Small Business Health Options Program marketplace.
Everyone can play a role in helping to reach and enroll the millions of people who can benefit from new health insurance options.
Health insurance marketplaces, or exchanges, are where individuals, families and small business employees can shop online for health insurance plans.
All plans offered through the marketplaces cover essential health benefits such as doctor visits, emergency care, hospitalizations, prescriptions, and more. Plans also cover preventive care—including checkups and screenings—at no cost to the patient.
Through the marketplaces, people will be able to enroll in and purchase plans online, in-person, and over-the-phone. There will be trained experts to answer questions and provide guidance through the enrollment process.
