Michigan: Health Insurance Coverage Estimates from the 2009 American Community Survey (ACS)

The State Reform Assistance Network (State Network), an initiative of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, provides technical assistance to 10 states as they implement key health insurance coverage provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

The State Network will provide essential resources to help states develop insurance exchanges, enact insurance market reforms, expand Medicaid, streamline eligibility and enrollment systems, and use appropriate data to drive decisions.

This chartbook of health insurance coverage estimates is designed to be an easily accessed resource for State Health Access Program (SHAP) grantees. Estimates for key population groups within the state of Michigan are provided in summary map format, with detailed tables for reference. Data provided in this chartbook are from the 2009 American Community Survey (ACS).
