Problem Synopsis: Congressional and executive agency policy-makers and their staff need nonpartisan information and ideas about health policy.

Synopsis of the Work: Since its inception in 1971, the National Health Policy Forum (NHPF) has served as a resource for the nonpartisan, informal and private exchange of information and ideas about health policy.

Key Results: The forum employs three main tools to educate and encourage complex thinking and dialogue among federal officials:

Written products that foster understanding of health policy issues. Available online.
Meetings to promote informed dialogue and information exchange. Available online.
Site visits that allow policy-makers to observe the impact of federal legislation at the state and local level. Available online.
