Field of Work: Informing state policymakers about complex health issues affecting their states.
Synopsis of the Work: The State Forums Partnership Program was a program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that enabled seven states to establish health policy forums programs that provided timely, nonpartisan information and analysis to help state policy-makers make informed decisions about complex health care issues affecting their states.
Texas was one of the participating states. After the anthrax attacks of September 2001, the Texas Health Institute held a forum on bioterrorism preparedness, as described in this sidebar.
