Field of Work: Informing state policymakers about complex health issues affecting their states.

Synopsis of the Work: The State Forums Partnership Program was a program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that enabled seven states to establish health policy forums programs that provided timely, nonpartisan information and analysis to help state policy-makers make informed decisions about complex health care issues affecting their states.

Massachusetts, one of the participating states, established the Health Policy Student Forums, bringing the "richness of the Commonwealth's educational tradition together with its dynamic policy-making environment." This sidebar describes the forum events that brought students and policy-makers together.
