As Congress debates how to reform America’s health care system–in particular, how to pay for it–many policy experts are bringing care management into the discussion as a way to rein in costs. In this commentary, the authors preview an upcoming Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Synthesis Project report examining various care management programs which seek to reduce costs while enhancing quality for people with complex health care needs.
