Build a Bridge Program
Like all hospitals, the emergency department (ED) at Sun Health Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital touches every single department in the building from surgery to the Intensive Care Unit. How Well Patients move through the ED often affects how well they move through the rest of the hospital.
When backups happen in the ED, tension between the ED and inpatient staffs tends to build up as well. In an effort to make sure this doesn't happen, ED nurses helped create the Build a Bridge program to facilitate better communication between the ED and the rest of the hospital's departments. The program helps the ED gather as much feedback as possible to improve how it delivers patient care and interacts with other departments.
The goal of the Build a Bridge program is to strengthen the relationships between the ED staff and their colleagues throughout the Sun City West, Arizona hospital.
