Educating ED Staff About LWBS Issues

The hospital implemented a patient tracking system in order to examine patient and provider data and determine the factors contributing to LWBS (left without being seen) patients. This lead to a mandatory customer service training program for all emergency department (ED) staff and a daily performance report card prominently displayed.
