2004 Quality Conference Promotes Culturally Competent Health Care

Fourth national conference on quality health care for culturally diverse populations: 2004

Project staff organized the "Fourth National Conference on Quality Health Care for Culturally Diverse Populations," held September 28 through October 1, 2004 in Washington. The primary goals of the conference were to:

  • Showcase the best of culturally competent programs, services and policies to national health organizations and leaders.
  • Disseminate research and expertise to advance promising interventions.
  • Develop partnerships to improve access to and quality of care for all Americans.

Key Results

  • Approximately 600 people attended the conference. Reports from the conference were posted online.

  • At the time this report was posted (April 2006), the fifth conference in this series was scheduled for October 17–20, 2006 in Seattle.
