Researchers at Northeastern University, working through the National Hispanic Science Network on Drug Abuse and a panel of scientific experts, produced the National Strategic Plan on Hispanic Drug Abuse Research in November 2003.
The 184-page strategic plan provides an overview, summarizes existing research, and makes recommendations for future research on eight topics:
- translating research to practice
- health services
- training and mentoring.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) provided a grant of $49,307 to fund the development of this plan between August 2002 and October 2003.
