Conference Explores how Medical Innovations are Adopted

Conference on accelerating quality improvement in health care

In January 2003, the National Institute for Health Care Management Research and Educational Foundation and the National Committee for Quality Health Care convened a conference to explore ways to accelerate the adoption of evidence-based innovations into medical practice.

Key Results

  • The conference, entitled, "Accelerating Quality Improvement in Health Care: Strategies to Speed the Diffusion of Evidence-Based Innovations", met on January 27–28, 2003 in Washington.

    It drew some 180 people, including health plan and hospital officials, health industry representatives, government health officials and representatives of health care professional associations and groups.
