From 1994 to 2001, staff at the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Women and Children's Health created model comprehensive school-based health centers (SBHCs) and standardized practices, developed a comprehensive financing system and helped expand the centers in the state.
The project was part of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Making the Grade: State and Local Partnerships to Establish School-Based Health Centers national program.
