Primary Care Physicians Seek Strategies to Promote Healthy Behaviors Among Patients
Conference on the benefits of health behavior counseling
In 2001, Health Systems Research (acquired by Altarum in 2006) planned and coordinated a two-day invitational meeting of senior clinicians to discuss best practices in counseling patients regarding health behavior change.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality cosponsored and co-funded the meeting.
Key Results
- The meeting, "Primary Care Practices Promoting Healthy Behaviors," took place November 8–10, 2001, in Washington, D.C. and drew some 150 people.
