The Connecting With Care project of the Alliance for Inclusion and Prevention demonstrated that it was economically feasible to bring full-time, mental-health clinicians to schools in the low-income Boston neighborhoods of Dorchester and Roxbury.

Program Result
During 2006 to 2007, TV and radio host Tavis Smiley convened town hall meetings in four U.S. cities to raise awareness of childhood obesity. A key organization in each city then worked to spur state and local efforts to address the growing problem.

In August 2010, the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, in Los Angeles, added a nursing school to address the needs of underserved communities. Under this project (2008–2011), the school developed programs leading to a Master of Science in Nursing degree and enrolled its first students.

From 2008 to 2011, eight projects implemented Safe Dates, a dating abuse prevention program, in middle and high schools through New Jersey Health Initiatives, which supports projects that improve the health and health care of state residents.

The Technical Assistance Collaborative provided capacity building, technical assistance, and policy support to social service organizations serving people with disabilities in need of permanent supportive housing following 2005's Hurricanes Rita and Katrina.
