On November 11-12, 2013, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Consumers Union convened “Addressing Rising Health Care Costs,” a meeting of approximately 60 consumer advocates with the goal of bridging the gap between researchers, policy-makers and consumers.
Attendees examined the evidence on what drives costs upwards and shared promising strategies that could help turn the tide. What emerged from the meeting was a clear sense that advocates are ready to address rising health care costs, but they will need support in order to be effective.
