From 2006 to 2008, the Council on Health Care Economics and Policy held three annual conferences:
- “Reinventing Health Care Delivery in the 21st Century” (2006)
- “Health Care Workforce Issues of the 21st Century” (2007)
- "Can Payment and Other Innovations Improve the Quality and Value of Health Care?" (2008)
The council is an independent, nonpartisan body of health policy and economics experts focused on the economic impact of changes occurring in the U.S. health care system. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has funded their annual conferences since 1993.
