From November 2005 to April 2008, project staff at the University of Kentucky's College of Public Health developed a database of resources that public health systems researchers can use to find the data they need for their work. The database is housed in the Health Services and Sciences Research Resources website of the National Library of Medicine, Bethesda, Md.
When the project began, public health systems research was a relatively new area of inquiry. This research examines the organization, financing, delivery and impact of public health services within communities.
